Laura Letinsky and the haunting romance of still lifes

Looking back at my conversation earlier this year with Laura Letinsky at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, what really impressed me about this Canadian contemporary photographer (apart from her huge body of work), was her razor-sharp mind, which explains and describes her thought process in a machine-gun-like speed. Laura Letinsky is also a professor at the University of Chicago, an educator with two-and-a-half decades of experience in teaching and it was pure joy to listen to her and to contemplate afterwards about the transience of things.
